The Lactation Consultan t is responsible for providing breastfeeding assistance and support to mothers and babies. Promoting the benefits of breastfeeding, providing one-to-one inpatient and outpatient consults, to ensure teaching of basic breastfeeding skills to new mothers offering support and encouragement.

Minimum qualifications:

• BSN with CT license
• RN with experience as Certified Lactation Consultant
• Expectation of IBCLC certification by October 2024

Preferred:

• Experience with breastfeeding education and skills
• Current IBCLC certification with experience and knowledge Baby Friendly USA practices.
