The role will be responsible for this manufacturing department's budgeting and expense reporting, maintaining effective internal controls and ensure we meet USG compliance requirements. In addition, it will supervise the Sr Assoc, Accounting staff to ensure there is timely and accurate evaluations of the program performance. Strong communication and analysis skills are required as this person will be the business partner to the Director and Sr Manager of the Defense Operations Department and will be work closely with other financial, program and operational teams across multiple L3 entities..
Prepare department analysis and execute to reporting requirements (department performance, key metrics, AOP, capital, etc). Participate in monthly close activities and deadlines. Oversee and create analysis of program performance and forecasts to management.
Assist with external audit requests. Assist with Ad Hoc requests and reporting Basic Qualifications:. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Preferred Qualifications:. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working in a team environment and presenting to internal customers and various levels of management.
Familiarity with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting and/or USG Compliance. Ideal candidate would be adaptable and quick to learn and able to implement new initiatives by building consensus. History of career progression with increasing responsibility. CPA or CPA candidate.
